Just took delivery on a 2013 Genesis 3.8L w Premium package. The A/V/Nav system seems to be working fine, but I cannot figure out when I should expect the car to release (disconnect) the bluetooth connection to my cellphone. I presumed it would happen immediately after shutting off the ignition, but I see on my handset that I am still connected even after I walk away from the car.

I also noticed it reconnects to the car as I approach the vehicle, even though I have not climbed in yet nor started it up. Is this correct?

Been doing more experimenting. It would appear that the power to the car and the bluetooth system are independent of each other. It looks like the car connects to the phone whenever I approach the vehicle with the smart key on me. It must sense the proximity and then enable bluetooth, even though I haven't opened the doors, much less started the car.
