I know most of us has tried at one point or another. I honestly thought it made a difference. Never really had any actual facts to back it up. Just bought based on the brand names. What I found out about them from this video suprised me.....

wow! i actually buy the nos octane booster at least once every two weeks. i couldve sworn it made the car accelerate better.....now im second guessing if it was just a placebo effect....
Have never used an octain booster before... i have some shopping to do, or not.
What a waste of money. I have never used these and never will. Good to know the facts too.
I think the NOS ocatane booster might have been one of the best marketed products in a while!
Really it seems that based on the test nothing happens right away. In defence of the manunfacturers maybe its acumulative?

Yup. I know i've used it just based on the name.

Nope. It either takes effect right away or it doesn't at all. They're supposed to mix with the gas and raise the octane rating of the gas by a few points. Which according to the test didn't happen at all.
So no such thing as cheap power then.
Nope, unfortunately not. A lot of "performance enhancing" stuff out there is a sham. Short ram intakes and non boxed in "cold" air intakes for example. They sound better but stock is generally better with a high flow filter.
hey it is nice video to show how not to waste money.
