I test drove a Genisis 2010 with tech package. DVD sounded out of this world great. Store bought CD's were also good. USB and IPod play back were awful! MP3's are at highest quality setting, (320 kpbs); Ipod and USB stick both sound great on my aftermarket Pioneer system.

Anyone have any ideas why sound was so poor? (music distorted badly at very low volume).

Are you using the Hyundai iPod cable that plugs into the USB and the Aux jack at the same time? My iPod Classic sounds great on my 2011 4.6 system.

This is why I suspect that something was wrong with that car. I have heard only good things about the system. I used a cable that was usb and aux; again this cable worked great on my stereo. Using a USB drive only the car recognized all the songs and played them, but with poor sound.

Im having a similar issue with my 09 4.6 system.....yesterday i smelled a blown speaker smell and lost my sub-low frequencies through my aux output but tuned the XM in and it sounds like my sub-lows are hitting again.......having checked out the subwoofer yet.....came on here to get some advice on a good or best matching dvc subwoofer to use if I needed to replace it.
