Seems to be be very few 4.6 liter engines on this site, and I know it was tough to order in a 4.6 at my dealership with what options I needed. Are dealerships in your area keeping the 4.6 liter in stock? Do they offer test drives or are they restricted (mine only had 1 in the showroom, not able to drive)?

Dealers will promise anything and if they really want to make the sale they will come through with that promise. Don't let them push you around, you are the one buying from them remember.

As for my dealer, there is some on the lots I believe. Can't tell for certain as I didn't go up and take a close look after I told them what I wanted that was all I was focused on.

Got some where I live and according to my car salesman they could bring any combination you wanted....but he is still just car salesman so he is probably just saying what I want to hear ;)
I am new to Hyundai, but from what I am hearing they are available, but dealers are not using up all their floorplan to keep many of them on the lots. We just got a 4.6 Genesis for a customer that was almost 8 hours away.
Getting different cars is no problem.. First step is to see if it's already in the vecinity, if not.. see if it is available to "order" The import brands ship over varieties of vehicles and when it's early in the year; unless you ask for some very odd or obscure combination.. It should be available in no time.

I am a salesman, YES, we can get you what you want, that IS what you want to hear; but if we could not get that, we would also tell you ASAP to see if what is avail is acceptable..

I was just talking with an old customer of mine about the same thing; I work hard to hold my ethics and not fit the salesman stereotype, which he says was his same problem and is a weakness for a saleman.

How long would it take to ship one over if it was in the vicinity? I know Audi is horrible about stuff like that and doesn't like swapping inventory between different dealers. They tried to send me FAR away to get my A3 and I gave up because I didn't want to go through the hassle. I would have bought it if they had bothered to ship it to my local dealer.
