I was changing the oil on my 2015 Genesis. I followed the same routine I've been using for the last 5 years...pump oil out (I don't like removing the shroud), remove filter housing, replace filter and gasket, replace housing, add oil, start the car.
This time when I start the car, oil starts flowing out of the filter housing. I removed the housing, the gasket was not seated properly all the way around. Re-attached the housing and all was well.
What am I saying? I hate this cheap plastic housing. Should have done a metal filter. Cheapness lives, and sucks.
