Hyundai has joined other major automakers in sitting out of advertising during the Super Bowl.
This is the first time since 2006 that the Korean automaker will forgo advertising in the Super Bowl and it’s not the only one. Other companies that have pulled out this year include Ford, Lincoln, Volkswagen and Audi though six automakers are still committed to the Big Game including BMW, Kia, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan and Toyota. Last year, 11 automakers aired commercials during the Super Bowl, but this year there will only be six.
