I'm currently considering buying a Genesis 3.8 but am a little concerned about how the RWD will perform on Chicago streets in the winter. The car we're replacing has AWD but based on what I've heard, concerns about RWD in snow are overblown. Has anyone experienced problems driving the Genesis in snowy conditions? I haven't seen a lot of them on the streets which leads me to the conclusion that either Hyundai's still battling the luxury perception problem or they really don't perform in the snow. Will I really need to load bags of sand into the trunk?

Finally, I had read some complaints about the suspension in the 2009 model (i.e. feeling every bump in the road). Has that been resolved in the 2011 model?
Thanks,
Chris

Thanks!

Appreciate the reply; we purchased the 4.6 almost 5 months ago and couldn't be more pleased with the vehicle. We didn't get winter tires since we live in the city and the streets are plowed frequently but I think next year, we'll definitely purchase a set. There were a few days where the car had to "rest" in the garage since the alley wasn't plowed but otherwise, it handled fine.
