Changing the oil Filter on a Genesis

After trying this myself, I have decided to post up the size of the wrench needed to open the oil filter housing on the Genesis. Both the v8 and v6 use the same size socket (even though one is mounted vertically and the other horizontally) which is a 27mm socket (12-point socket works perfectly--get one at most Auto Parts stores for about $6.00). Don't forget to switch up the rubber washers that come with the new filter when you do the oil change or you may get leakage.

another option just in case people have a hard time getting 27mm sockets is to grab one of those magnetic oil filter tool. it basically fits on most oil filters and the magnets are strong enough to get enough force to unscrew the filter.
Thanks for the heads up guys. That's some great input.
