Problems shifting out of Park

So, after some research I found that I am not alone in this intermittent issue. It has only happened twice, but the ESC lamp will stay on and you can't get it out of Park. Both times, all I had to do was shut the engine down, then restart, and the ESC lamp went off, and it could then be shifted into Drive. Apparently this is a software limitation and will correct itself over time. Sounds weird to me but I will keep you posted. Anyone else get this issue yet?

I have just been reading up on common problems with the Genesis. Hopefully Hyundai reads some of the forums to help in Hyundai Genesis TSB detection etc...

Is there a site or maybe can there be a forum thread with all the TSB's set up? I'm not even sure if my Genesis has any? Would be much easier just to check it here when I log in

You didn't say what kind of car, but they all have some kind of intrelock device that requires you to put your foot on the brake ( like you said) or have the key in the right position. on many cars, there is a slot next to the gearshift, that you can stick a flat blade screwdriver into, this will override the lockout switch, and allow you to shift, untill you can get it fixed.
