Default Synthetic oil

Those that have the 3.8Liter engine have you upgraded to synthetic oil yet?

What kind of cost was it? Will Hyundai do the change?

I am still running conventional oil in my car without any issues. Not sure if Hyundai will allow you to make the change without some kind of change on the warranty.

Why change to synthetic, our oil that comes with the car seems to work perfect. Are you having issues or something

synthetic last longer than conventional and doesnt burn off as easily. also after a few proper heat cycles it actually lubricates better as well. but switching from conventional to synthetic is not that easy. you need to gradually do it.

I keep debating whether to go to full synthetic or not. I know that my dealer uses a synthetic blend already and at 42,000 and no issues I will probably keep with a blend.

Synthetic oil will sure make a difference most especially on the 3.8L. before im using the conventional one but i realized my car would run smoothly with the synthetic one....although it has a disadvantage though. some drivers have complaining hundreds of issues with this.Actually based from the recent experiment. It shows that synthetic was still good at 18k miles however because of the buidup factor with metals in the oil, it is advisable to shift after 12k miles
