Hyundai Genesis crash Formula D NJ

While looking for highlights of some of the recent Formula D events I found a vid uploaded by someone from the audience. It features a Dodge Challenger vs a Hyundai Genesis coupe. First battle went pretty well but the second one, the Genesis tapped the wall.

thats such a shame. rhys millen is a pretty good driver. he took himself out of the competition. he did pretty good for the first run.

He was probably trying to initiate the drift as late as possible to get really close to the clipping point.

coming from experience its so much harder drifting on a banked oval. any mistake you do wants to throw you to the outside rails/wall. you always have to keep your foot on the accelerator. not like drifting on a flat course where you can get away with blipping the throttle when you need to.
