Default Rhys Millen Pikes peak machine

It's still hard to believe that this thing used to be a Hyundai Genesis coupe. They could be just using the engine and transmission from a donor Genesis and putting it on one of their frames. Either way this thing is still a beast. Lightweight and super fast, some even think it might post a sub 10 minute time.

I found another article with more pics and a new video. This thing is a beast. However I'm pretty sure that the only thing in this that came from a Genesis is the engine. Other than that is a custom body and frame they made for this car.

Sadly he had mechanical issues and didn't beat the record. Two weeks after the race they posted up this vid documenting their time at Pikes Peak.

Hey it was a good effort and a marvel of engineering none the less. Maybe Jay Leno will buy the car and put it in his collection?

Maybe they're getting ready for a season of ALMS or Grand Am? Sure looks like a Daytona Prototype to me...
