375hp no matter what is 375hp and people buy cars mostly on power and luxury 2nd. Because you can have a BMW but they dont make any of their new cars under 200hp and if they do they dont respect it because they would suggest that its a waste of money for a low powered engine. The 100k regardless of the engine ever breaking down is something that the competition cant beat. Imagine taking in a bmw engine and getting it fixed for free up to 100k miles.
The 100k warranty will win this car over alone. They will beat lexus and bmw just because of that warranty and the engine. Its going to the competition mad and no one can say 375hp is not 375hp.
hyundai is the next toyota of tomorrow, their quality, reliability, and looks have improved big time, now their next focus is luxury and performance, there is no doubt that they will keep improving even more every year. its sad that american car company’s are rapidly falling behind while japan and korea thrive.
I would buy a g37 but at half the price i could get the genesis coupe I-4 turbo that shares the same engine as the mitsubishi Evolution X. I cant wait till it comes out.
Haha i get to ride this thing before all u guyz my dad’s the GM of hyundai so ya. and did u guyz no it has a stereo system that can only be found in a Rolse-Royce
cars for poor people wt*???
remember the luxury cars you are refering to and hyundai may compete against such as Lexus won’t exist if the parent companies ie Toyota in that case didnt have cheap cars to flood the market …BTW yes Hyundai will never have the same level as a Lexus or BMW, but they sure as hell would give em good competition … that would be in number of sales. haha i would buy the genesis just to smoke your beemer or wht ever u drive lol … just look @ how far Nissan has come
even if the car is amazing, that doesn’t matter… people buy luxury cars for status symbol … HYUDAI is for poor people so this idea will never work! JUST like the $100k VW PHAETON. That was rated as an amazing car on TOPGEAR in UK
Hyundai’s smaller cars just aren’t competitively priced anymore. The Accent is only a few hundred less than the much nicer Versa. The Elantra is only a few hundred less than the Focus or Cobalt. However, their larger cars seem to be several thousand less than their competition. The Azera is thousands less than comparable BMW, Lexus, or Mercedes models as is the new Genesis. However, I guarantee you long-term quality and reliability will be much worse than those other pricey cars.
You do get more car, more engine, more toys than other cars for the same price, but you have to remember that quality WILL be lower and long-term reliability most likely won’t hold up as well either. You get the new car Ooh and Ahh, but 5yrs later they won’t seem worth the money compared to other luxury cars of the same price.
Good for you. If they were asking $40k for a basic Genesis, it was incredibly marked up. Check out the Hyundai website. They start at around $32k, which makes it a very nice car for the money when you compare. ABout the price of an entry-level BMW or Mercedes or mid-level Volvo.
I was shocked at how much my local dealership was asking for the Genesis,$40K for only the standard package options. “Luxury Sedan for just under $30k”…whatever.. I laughed and said I could never justify paying $40k for a Hyundai and told him I’d check back in a few months…when they came back to their senses.
It should for the difference in price. Go to a BMW dealer and check the sticker on a 335 the way they have them optioned they run over $52,000 you can get a Genesis for $32K well equipped for $34K, V8 starts at $37K completely loaded at $42K. The Infinity M series is more comparable. I really just hate that BMW charges $500 for XM radio… Its standard in an ACCENT!!! BMW is gonna price themselves right out of the market.
You guys should have done more of a review on this car…that was too short…I think hyundais are great cars, there ALMOST the new hondas and toyotas….but they better watch there pricing as it’s getting up there….
The more you look at the Hyundai Genesis the more it resembles a BMW 3 Series in just about any angle… same headlight sweep, profile ( frt, sde, bck ), same tail-light design cues.
Only thing it can’t be compared with is the interior.

Its awesome…but it looks cheap, rather buy a BMW.
Doubt, poor people could afford a 43k+ car…

I agree with that,
but I think this Hyundai could own a Chrysler 300
This is a case of getting *more* than what you pay for

Profile maybe, being that it’s a sedan, but it’s much larger. Everthing else you said, like the taillight and the headlights… not at all.
Nice looking car. I just wish they would have brought over the Genesis Wings logo to the U.S.
not really…
be quiet thorington, don’t pick on youtubers
